The History of Idaho Broadcasting Foundation
cordially invites you to our next Public Meeting scheduled for Thursday April 24, 2008. from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the new Impact Radio Group in Nampa (formerly Tester Broadcasting). Impact owns and operates 4 FMs, and 2 AMs, including: 96.1 KSRV-FM ("Bob FM"), 99.1 KTMB-FM ("The Man"), 100.7 KAYN-FM ("Boomer"), and 101.1 KMXM-FM (soon to be moved from McCall to Parma), KSRV-AM in Ontario, Oregon and KMHI-AM in Mountain Home. The two AMs operate out of studios in their respective cities, but the FM's operate out of brand new state-of-the-art studios in Nampa, which is where we will be meeting.

Impact Radio Group's address is 5560 Franklin Road in Nampa. They are located on the 2nd floor of the Title One Building. There will be signs welcoming you. To drive there, take I-84 to the Garrity Blvd or "Idaho Center" exit and proceed North to Franklin Road. The Title One Building is located on the North side of road about midway to the Cheese Factory.

The meeting will last from 7:00-8:30 P.M. and will feature an interesting program. The Foundation will be bringing some recently acquired photos, tapes, and artifacts to share with all who attend. Impact staffer (and new HIBF Member) Shawn Kimmel will be our host, along with Brandi Hulme, Senior Account Executive.

Following the meeting, those who wish, may stay for a brief tour of the recently completed studio facilities conducted by Shawn Kimmell. We hope to have one of Impact's engineers there to answer questions, as with the move of KMXM-FM to Parma, the group's FMs will operate from 3 different transmitter sites; Deer Point, Bennett Mountain, and The Owyhees. There are now microwave dishes for the respective STLs installed on the roof of the new studios. The recently completed control rooms and production room boast the latest in digital equipment, so this is one tour you won't want to miss!

The History of Idaho Broadcasting Foundation held our September 2007 meeting at these same studios, but they were still under construction. The new studios are now complete, and we'll be able to see them and hear about Impact's plans for future expansion with KMXM.

Please join us for a fun and informative evening. Refreshments will be served, and it will still be light at 8:30 P.M. when the meeting is over. If you need a free ride to and from the meeting, please contact Art at 465-8007.

We hope to see you on the 24th at Impact Radio Group!
