Vern Moore started his Idaho Broadcasting career at KIDO Radio

in 1935, and during the 1960s and 1970s, he was Idaho’s foremost

Radio Newsman. He was also Idaho’s first Television Anchorman

starting on KIDO-TV in July of 1953! During his 42 years at KIDO

Vern probably interviewed virtually every prominent “newsmaker.”

During this 30-45 minute program, we’ll hear dozens of taped

radio news stories that aired on KIDO during the 60’s & 70s!

You’ll hear…the 1966 NBC News Report of the plane crash that killed the brother of Ethel Kennedy

The 1961 NBC Monitor News Clip about the death of Ernest Hemmingway in Sun Valley
