This 90-minute program will Celebrate the Sign-on of KBOI-TV Channel 2
which took place 60 years ago at Noon November 26, 1953
KBOI-TV was Boise's First Television Station on Deer Point
using a Microwave System to send the signal from their Downtown Boise studios at 9th & Jefferson
Our Special Program will include showing of excerpts of 3 KBOI-TV Anniversary Specials as well as actual footage of the tower being constructed on Deer Point, narrated on tape by the late James A. Johntz Jr., the man who built KBOI-TV! We'll also show vintage photos, followed by an open discussion of Channel 2's 60-year -history!
