1350 kHz

The AM frequency of 1350 kilohertz is defined by the FCC as a Regional Channel Class B or D frequency.  In Idaho, KTIK is the only station on 1350 (KRLC, licensed to Clarkston, WA is including in our list, and at one time was licensed to Lewiston, Idaho).  Across the US, however, there are over 55 stations assigned to this frequency, several in Canada, and several  in Mexico and other North American areas.  It is for this reason stations on this frequency either reduce power or switch to a directional antenna (or both) at night to reduce interference.    Some stations on 1350 operate only during the daytime hours.   (Information updated February  2008)
