Tribute and Memorial
to Honor & Celebrate the Life & Career of
Bob Lee
who passed away December 16, 2019

“Bad” Bob Lee (aka Rex Allison)
Was a popular air personality at KFXD-AM
in the mid-1970’s. Bob is pictured above at
580 KFXD in October of 1976, kneeling on
the bottom left. Bob then helped start the
new Magic 92 format on KBBK-FM, which
debuted January 2, 1978. In the early ‘80’s
Bob became Program & Music Director at
“Boise’s Most Exciting Radio Station” and
in 1982, achieved a HUGE 11.8 Share 12+
in the Boise Arbitron Ratings which made
KBBK-FM (Magic 92) the #2 station in Boise
behind KBOI-AM’s 12.4 share! Then, in the
early 1990’s Bob worked for KQXR 100.3 FM
in Ontario & then put “Pirate Radio” on the
air from downtown Boise as the market’s 1st
heavy-metal station for teens & 18-34 males.

“Emperor” Larry Lomax
Is flying in to Boise to host this Tribute to Bob. Larry will play
airchecks, and invite stories & comments from Bob’s coworkers
to honor his contribution to Treasure Valley radio.
We’ll hear from Johnny Mac former KBBK GM who worked with
Bob to achieve the record ratings KBBK enjoyed in early 1980’s.
RSVPs also include News Director Steve McKennon (Steve Bertel now
with Ch 6 KIVI-TV), Tom Scott, KJ Mac, Bob Anthony & Dave Victor.

Don’t miss this chance to HONOR & CELEBRATE
THE LIFE & CAREER OF A GREAT BROADCASTER!
