The May 24, 2012 Meeting of the History of Idaho Broadcasting Foundation

Smoky Mountain Pizza on Parkcenter Blvd. in Boise.

Attending from the Foundation was President Art Gregory, and Board Member and Webmaster Rockwell Smith.  Vice President Frank Aden Jr. could not attend but sent his regrets and best wishes for a good meeting.

Foundation members attending included Don Morin, Market Manager for Cumulus Media, and Blair Crook Senior Account Executive. Special thanks to Cumulus Chief Engineer Randal Rocks, and Assistant Engineer Bill Frahm for supplying the needed audio and video equipment for the meeting.

Other members attending included; Del Chapman; Larry Smith and Kathe Alters from Idaho Public Television; Lucas Babin of Peak Broadcasting, current owners of KIDO; Chris Thomas; Tom Scott; Kitty Delorey Fleischman; Andy and Linda Enrico; Rick Hogue; Al Hale; Larry Chase; Marty Holtman; Harold Homeier; R.W. Egelston; Steve Wade; Nadine Buscher from KTRV-TV; Terry Tario of Adelante Media; Larry Newton, Patty Trent and Samantha Wright from Boise State Public Radio; and Andy Johntz of Boise.

Guests attending included Glenn Mouser, Michael Martin and Frank Fosella of Boise.

After introducing each member and guest, President Art Gregory did a 90 minute preview of his new book “KIDO- Boise’s First Radio Station” which is due to be published on October 22, 2102 by Arcadia Publishing of Charleston, South Carolina.

Art then went through over 200 images, covering the 9 chapters in the book which included:

A special group of photos from KFAU and the Idaho State Historical Society were featured, as well some wonderful photos of Don Cederstrom and Jack Link.
